Mindfulness Practices to Enhance Your Daily Meditation Routine

I hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday!

Mine was not the typical one, but indeed, blessed! I spent time in the emergency room waiting for my dad, who was going on surgery for a malignant tumor.

Almost five hours later, and with one kidney removed, everything turned out fine (with the blessings of the Almighty). For the last few days, I have been taking turns with my family (sister, mother, and other relatives) to stay with him at the hospital. Nevertheless, I'm counting my blessings, especially because the first prognostic was not very encouraging. Now, my dad is a step closer to being out of the hospital, cancer-free.

I know you might be dizzy; why am I telling you all that? Because something held me strongly throughout these turbulent times, something that has been a consistent solace and source of presence for me: my meditation practices (or mindfulness practices).

Honestly, I was not sure how well I'd be able to deal with everything that was going on had I not had that.

So, in the name of inner peace, presence, and gratitude, this is what I want to talk about today.
