How to Balance Your Chakras
Hi Reader,
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about fear — not in a heavy way, but in that curious “why do our minds do this?” way —especially considering the aching people are feeling around the world.
You know how some fears feel so real in your body, like your heart tightens or your stomach drops, even though nothing has actually happened yet?
That’s not random. Fear lives in the nervous system, in the body, and energetically, it often shows up as imbalance. This is where meditation — especially chakra-focused meditation (see below) — becomes such a powerful tool, not to suppress fear, but to gently unwind it before it turns into momentum.
When we talk about fears becoming reality, it’s rarely because we “thought the wrong thing once.” It’s usually because the fear got lodged somewhere — the root chakra feeling unsafe, the solar plexus feeling out of control, the heart tightening in anticipation.
Meditation helps bring awareness back into those centers. Instead of spiraling in your mind, you start listening to your body, calming the stress response, and restoring a sense of inner safety. That shift alone can interrupt the whole fear loop.
So when you sit down to meditate, you’re not just relaxing — you’re rebalancing the energy that fear feeds on. You’re teaching your system that you’re safe now, grounded now, supported now. And from that state, fear loses its charge.
And as we get involved with the holidays festivities and everything they bring us, my sincere hope is that fear becomes just another sensation you can observe, breathe through, and release (one breath at a time).
